About this task
While a merge is in process, you can save
its state for reuse or completion at another time.
Procedure
- In the Merge Manager window, start the merge, if
you have not already done so.
- Select one or more elements, right-click in the selection,
and click .
Diff Merge runs.
- In Diff Merge, click Save As and
provide a name for the file.
Information needed to restore the
state of the merge is stored in this file. By convention, merge files are
named with a .mrgman suffix.
Results
The next time you start the Merge Manager or click Open in
the Merge Manager window, your saved merge file appears on the list of files
that you can open.
