About using the Update Tool

You can start the Update Tool from the command line using the cleartool update command with the -graphical option, and on Windows systems, from HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer, or from Windows Explorer. When you are connected to the network, you can use the Update Tool to perform the following tasks:

• Determine how to handle hijacked files
• Update a snapshot view
