Project Explorer

The HCL VersionVault Project Explorer lets you create, manage, work in, and view information about UCM projects. As a project manager or project integrator, you use the Project Explorer to create and manage the development environment in which team members work. Project manager and project integrator tasks include:

• Creating projects, folders, streams, and views
• Converting VOBs into components
• Creating baselines, defining promotion levels, and recommending baselines
• Completing remote deliver operations

As a developer, you set up your work area, share work with other team members, and update your work area with the latest configuration. Developer tasks include:

• Joining projects
• Working with activities and delivering work to your parent stream
• Rebasing your stream to the recommended baselines of your parent stream

You also can use the Project Explorer to perform these tasks.

On computers running Windows, developers typically use HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer to perform developer tasks.
