To remove an element name from a directory
About this task
You can remove the name of an element or VOB symbolic link from a directory version.
If you are using HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer, in the Details pane, right-click an element and click Delete. In a snapshot view, this action implicitly performs an update operation on the affected elements.
To remove an element name from a directory using the command line, open a command prompt and perform the following procedure:
Procedure
- Check out the parent directory.
- Enter the following command:
cleartool rmname element-name - Check in the parent directory.
