Registering eMessage manually

During the installation process. if the eMessage installer cannot access the Marketing Platform system tables, you must run the configTool utility to register it manually.

About this task

By default, the Campaign installer automatically registers eMessage with the Marketing Platform system tables without enabling eMessage. In some situations, the Campaign installer does not connect with the Marketing Platform system tables to automatically register eMessage.

If the installer does not register eMessage automatically, you must register eMessage manually with the configTool utility that is provided with the IBM® EMM installation. The configTool utility is in the tools\bin directory under your Marketing Platform installation.

To register eMessage manually, use the following command to run the configTool utility:

configTool -r eMessage -f "full_path_to_eMessage_installation_directory\conf\emessage_configuration.xml"

The eMessage installation directory is a subdirectory of the Campaign installation directory.
