Each flowchart has its own log file, which records events during each flowchart and
process run. The events and logging levels that are recorded are determined by the flowchart
Logging Options on the Options menu. You can analyze the log file to determine how a flowchart is
performing and troubleshoot errors.
Procedure
-
Open a flowchart for editing.
-
Open the Options menu
and select View Log.
The flowchart log file opens in a new browser window.
-
To interpret the log file, see the examples in Flowchart log file structure.
-
If the log file contains too much information (or not enough), you can adjust the logging
options, do a test run of a process, then reexamine the log file:
-
Optional: Choose . Copy and past the log contents to another file and save it as a backup. Then
choose .
-
Choose and adjust the severity (Information, Warning, Error, Debug) and the
categories of events that get written to the log.
-
Do a test run of a process.
-
View the log file again to see if the new level of information is more helpful.
-
When you are done, revert to the default logging level, to avoid performance
issues.
