        When you receive a mail message that contains an action item, you can add it to a list of things that need to be completed, called Needs Action. You can also specify a date for when the action item needs to be completed, to further organize your work flow.

        IBM Verse lets you track responses from mail messages you've sent. You do this by marking the message as Waiting For. The mail then appears in a unique list in Verse so that you can easily keep track of whether or not you have received a response.

What do I need to know about using IBM Verse for Apple devices?

Work with mail, calendar and contact information, including type-ahead addressing, custom mail folders, support for mail threads, in depth search, in line preview, tracking of actions that need attention, and analytics-based identification of important content.

With IBM Verse for Apple devices, you can:

See mail from people important to you
Set people you interact with often as Important
Mark mail as Needs Action
Manage items that need follow up
Track who owes you a response and when
Work with your calendar seamlessly
Interact with all of your contacts

IBM Verse for Apple devices has the following non-functional requirements:

For supported iOS levels, see the system requirements index and select the article for your IBM Traveler version.
The app can only be used by Verse-licensed users in Connections Cloud or against on-premise IBM Traveler servers at 9.0.1.7 or higher.
IBM Traveler servers must support SSL/TLS and have a valid certificate. For security reasons, the app will not connect to a server with a self-signed, expired or otherwise untrusted certificate, nor will it connect to a server configured for HTTP rather than HTTPS.

Note: IBM Verse for Apple devices is an IBM created mobile app for iOS, and is available on the Apple app store. However, you can continue to use IBM Traveler with the built in Apple provided mail, calendar, and contacts apps on your iOS device, along with the IBM Traveler To Do and Companion apps. Note: The same IBM Verse for Apple devices client is used in either the cloud or on premise versions, however some Verse capabilities are only available in the cloud. For more information, refer to IBM Verse for Apple devices known limitations and restrictions.
