This guide describes how to install HCL OneTest™ API. After you install the software, you can perform administration tasks such as configuration and integration of the product. This guide is intended for administrators.
Integrations
HCL OneTest™ API supports integration with various other tools for quality management, change management, software configuration management, and deployment automation tools such as UrbanCode™ Deploy or HCL® Launch.
HCL OneTest™ API and IBM® Engineering Test Management
When you integrate HCL OneTest™ API with Engineering Test Management, you can run HCL OneTest API tests and suites in the centralized test management environment of Engineering Test Management.
Working with HCL OneTest™ API resources in IBM® Engineering Test Management
After the HCL OneTest™ API-Engineering Test Management integration is complete, you can export tests and test suites from HCL OneTest API into Engineering Test Management. Exported tests and test suites are created as test cases and test scripts in Engineering Test Management.

Running multiple HCL OneTest™ API tests in IBM® Engineering Test Management

To run multiple HCL OneTest™ API tests in Engineering Test Management, you must first enable parameter passing with Engineering Test Management, and then configure the tests in HCL OneTest™ API with the appropriate input and output parameters.

To be able to run multiple tests in Engineering Test Management:

Procedure

To enable parameter passing with Engineering Test Management, you must export two or more HCL OneTest™ API tests to Engineering Test Management, and then create a Engineering Test Management test suite.
Configure all of the tests in HCL OneTest™ API with the appropriate input and output parameters. For example, for a parameter to be passed from Test A to Test B, Test B must have an input parameter with the same name as the output parameter from Test A.
Export the tests to Engineering Test Management, create an Engineering Test Management test suite, and add all of the tests to the suite in order.
Disable parallel processing of the tests, and enable Passing of execution variables between scripts. This can be done at run time in the Engineering Test Management user interface.
