Transferring the JCL and executable files for Websphere MQ to z/OS®

To transfer JCL and executable files to IBM® z/OS®, download and extract the HCL OneTest™ API API agent for Websphere MQ (z/OS®) package.

Before you begin

You require a TSO user ID to complete this task.

The function of the HRVMMQF agent has not changed in this release. If you are currently using the 10.0.0 or later version of the exit, you do not need to upgrade to the 10.0.2 or later version.

About this task

Use FTP to transfer the following files to z/OS® in binary format.

  • RIT.PROC.XMIT
  • RIT.AUTH.XMIT
  • RIT.LINK.XMIT

Procedure

  1. Download and extract the HCL OneTest™ API API agent for Websphere MQ (z/OS®) package, IBMWebSphereMQz.zip, that is provided with HCL® Quality Server to any location in the system.
    For information about the package, see HCL OneTest API tool packages
  2. Use the command prompt on the system with the downloaded files and navigate to the location that has the extracted files.
  3. FTP hostname, where hostname is the name of the system to which you need to transfer the files.
  4. Enter your user ID and password.
    Note: The user ID in this case is your TSO user ID.
  5. Enter bin.
  6. Quote site using this command: Quote site CYL PRI=1 SEC=1 recfm=fb lrecl=80 blksize=3200
  7. Put RIT.PROC.XMIT 'userid.RIT.PROC.XMIT'
  8. Put RIT.AUTH.XMIT 'userid.RIT.AUTH.XMIT'
  9. Put RIT.LINK.XMIT 'userid.RIT.LINK.XMIT'
  10. Exit from the FTP program.
