HCL OneDB database servers

GLS support for certain locales is installed by default.

GLS is a single feature that provides support for single-byte and multibyte data in non-English languages. For compatibility with earlier versions, GLS products also support all of the NLS environment variables and a subset of the ALS environment variables.

If you do not install HCL OneDB™ Client Software Development Kit, the following locales are installed by default:
  • Chinese
    • zh_cn
    • zh_hk
    • zh_tw
  • Eastern Europe
    • cs_cz
    • pl_pl
    • ru_ru
    • sk_sk
  • Japanese
    • ja_jp
  • Korean
    • ko_kr
  • Thai
    • th_th
  • Western Europe
    • da_dk
    • de_at
    • de_ch
    • de_de
    • en_au
    • en_gb
    • fi_fi
    • fr_be
    • fr_ca
    • fr_ch
    • fr_fr

The default en_us locale and the Chinese locale zh_cn are installed by default.
