To comply with MS-DOS 8.3 legacy format for file names, HCL
OneDB™ products
use condensed file names to store GLS locales and code-set-conversion
files.
These file names do not match the names of the locales
and code sets that the user uses. You can use the glfiles utility
to generate a list of the following GLS-related files:
The GLS locales that are available on your system
The HCL
OneDB code-set-conversion
files that are available on your system
The HCL
OneDB code-set
files that are available on your system
Before you run glfiles, take the following
steps:
Set the INFORMIXDIR environment variable
to the directory in which you install your HCL
OneDB product.
If
you do not set INFORMIXDIR, glfiles checks
the /usr/informix directory for the GLS files.
Change to the directory where you want the files that glfiles generates.
The
utility creates the GLS file listings in the current directory.
The following diagram shows the syntax of the glfiles utility.
