Restoring when using cooked chunks
You can recreate missing cooked chunk files during a restore.
About this task
Restriction: ON-Bar does
not recreate chunk files during a logical restore if the logical logs
contain chunk-creation records.
Procedure
To restore when using cooked chunks:
- Install the new disk.
- Based on your system, perform one of the following tasks:
- On UNIX™, mount the device as a file system.
- On Windows™, format the disk.
- Allocate disk space for the chunk file.
- Run the onbar -r -O space command to recreate the chunk files and restore the dbspace.
