Keyboard shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts can be used in full mode for the supported versions of Microsoft® Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari. These shortcuts differ in behavior depending on the browser version and, in the case of Firefox, on the operating system. There might be additional exceptions for your browser, other than those listed here.

Table 1. Shortcuts for List Views

Arrow up Scroll to the next row prior to the first visible row. Mozilla Firefox on Linux® – when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
Arrow down Scroll to the next row after the first visible row. Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
Page up Scroll the list to the top-most row in the view (same as Home). Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
Page down Scroll the list to the final row in the view (same as End). Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
Home Scroll the list to the first row in the view. Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
End Scroll the list to the final row in the view. Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
Insert Create a new document for the view. Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
Delete Delete selected documents from the view. Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- when displaying lists one page at a time, you must locate the cursor in the current view list.
Enter Read or edit selected documents from the view. Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- In calendar views, pressing Enter works only in the Summarize view to open calendar entries. It does not open to do entries.
Any letter

(A-Z)

 Jump to a record that begins with this letter or letters. First, sort mail by "Who" then jump to the desired record. Sort contacts by name, company, or e-mail, and then type a letter to jump to that record. None.

  • Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Mozilla Firefox on Win 32 -- validate name for fields requiring an e-mail address
  • Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox on Linux -- refresh view
  • In some versions of Safari or Mozilla Firefox on Macintosh OS X -- refresh all windows or command+F9 to refresh view.

Enter Creates a new calendar entry except in the Year and Summary views. In some browsers, opens highlighted entries.
F5 Refresh the browser window. Unavailable on Macintosh OS X.
F9 Refresh calendar views.

In some versions of Safari or Mozilla Firefox on Macintosh OS X -- refresh all windows or command+F9 to refresh view.

Arrow up Move focus to:
  • Previous time slot in day views and one week views.

  • Next time slot in day views and one week views.
  • Next week in two-week and month views.
  • Next calendar entry in summary view.
 Unavailable in year view.
Arrow right Move focus to next day. Unavailable in year view.

In summary views, expands one day calendar.
Arrow left Move focus to previous day. Unavailable in year view.

In summary views, collapses one day calendar.
Page up Switch to previous view, based on selected view. For example, previous week, previous month. Unavailable in year view.
Page down Switch to next view, based on selected view. For example, previous week, previous month. Unavailable in year view.
Home Move focus to first time slot in day and 1-week views only. Locate focus in a time slot before pressing Home.
End Move focus to last time slot in day and 1-week views only. Locate focus in a time slot before pressing Home.
Delete Delete the selected entry. Unavailable in year view.

Macintosh OS X exceptions

These exceptions are specific to browsers used on Macintosh OS X:
  • Insert key (not available on keyboard)
  • F1, F5, F9 keys
  • Home key
  • End key
  • Tab key
  • Enter key is the Return key on the Macintosh
