Procedure
To run the Auto Map:
- Open the executable or functional map in the Map editor.
- The Auto-mapper will attempt to map from all the inputs that are displayed in the mapping area. Add any cards which you wish to be considered for auto-mapping to the mapping area by selecting 'Add' on cards in the Structure panel.
- Click the Auto Map button to launch the Auto-mapper.
- The Auto-mapper will show
- The best match for each target field together with the percentage score for the match. The higher the number, the better the match. A score of 100 means that the field name and type matched exactly.
- If there are multiple possible matches for a field, the lines are shown in red to indicate a conflict.
- To remove low-scoring matches enter a value in the Score Threshold. Any matches with scores lower than the threshold will not be displayed.
- To remove any match click on the red cross icon to delete the connection.
- To map fields manually, drag a field from an input to the output.
- Once you are satisfied with the mappings, click Done to return to the map where the changes will be applied. If you want to cancel the auto-mapping click the Close button to return to the map.
