Create a fixed format that uses carriage returns
A fixed-format data file often includes a carriage return
(new line) at the end of each record, such as the data file in the
following example file.

When you prepare the format for this data file, you must
include a dummy field for the carriage return. When you create the
load map for this format, do not link the dummy field to a database
column. The following figure shows the format for the data file illustrated
previously.
