Event handlers can be created at your discretion, and they take action when specific events occur. Suppression time is used to limit the frequency of how often an event handler runs. After an event occurs and its associated event handler runs, if the event occurs again, the event handler does not run until after the suppression time expires. An event handler defines the action that Domino® takes when a specific event occurs.
Complete these steps to set the event severity or the suppression time:
Procedure
- From the Domino® Administrator, click the Configuration tab.
- Expand the view.
- Open one of the Event Messages views.
- Open the event whose settings your are editing, and then click Edit Document.
- Do one or both of these:
- Change the Event Severity, choose a new severity: Fatal, Failure, Warning (high), Warning (low), or Normal.
- Change the Suppression Time, specify the suppression time in minutes.
- Click Save and Close.
