为 LDAP V2 客户端配置字符编码

缺省情况下，LDAP 服务在将包含国际字符的结果返回到 LDAP V2 客户端时使用 UTF-8 字符编码。尽管 LDAP V2 RFC 不支持使用 UTF-8，但该缺省行为确保了使用 UTF-8 的 LDAP V2 客户端（如 EudoraPro 4.1）可以与 LDAP 服务很好地配合。

要支持不使用 UTF-8 的 LDAP V2 客户端，可以更改缺省编码禁止 LDAP 服务将 UTF-8 字符编码用于 V2 客户端。如果禁止将 UTF-8 字符编码用于 LDAP V2 客户端，那么 LDAP 服务有时可能无法将包含国际字符的结果返回给使用 UTF-8 的 V2 客户端。

Note: The LDAP service always uses UTF-8 character encoding when returning results with international characters to LDAP V3 clients, for example, Microsoft™ Outlook Express® clients and HCL Notes® clients.

使用以下步骤为在域中的任意服务器上运行的 LDAP 服务的 LDAP V2 客户端启用或禁用使用 UTF-8 字符编码。

操作步骤

  1. From the HCL Domino® Administrator, open the server that runs the LDAP service, or a server in the same domain as the one that runs the LDAP service.
  2. 单击配置选项卡。
  3. 在导航窗格中，展开目录和 LDAP，然后选择设置。
  4. 请执行下列其中一项操作：
    • If you see the message Unable to locate a Server Configuration document for this domain. Would you like to create one now? click Yes, then click the LDAP tab on the document that is created.

  5. 选择以下某个选项：
    • 是（缺省值），将 UTF-8 字符编码用于 LDAP V2 客户端。
