Configuring
Use this information to configure an IBM® Domino® network, users, servers (including Web servers), directory services, security, messaging, widgets and live text, and server clusters. Also use this information to set up IBM iNotes® on a server using Domino Off-Line Services (DOLS).
Configuring Web servers
This section describes how to set up the IBM® Domino® Web server, the Domino Web Navigator, and other Web servers such as IBM HTTP.
The Web Navigator
The Web Navigator lets Notes® workstations access the Web, without having a direct connection to the Internet. The Web Navigator server, which has a direct connection to the Internet, retrieves pages for users. The Web Navigator retrieves pages on Internet servers -- for example, servers that use Internet services such as HTTP, FTP, or Gopher.
Customizing the Web Navigator
After you set up the Web Navigator on a server, you can customize it.
Sending mail from a Web page to the Internet
When users click a mail to URL on a Web page, Domino® opens a new mail message and enters the Internet address (user@company.com) in the To: field.

Procedure

Make sure that user Notes® workstations are already set up to use Notes mail.
From the Domino Administrator, click the Configuration tab, and then open the Server document for the Web Navigator server.
Click the Server Tasks > Web Retriever tab.
In the SMTP Domain field, enter the name of the foreign domain of the SMTP mail gateway, and then save the document.
