Aligning text in spreadsheet cells

You can align the text in spreadsheet cells to left, center or right and to top, middle or bottom.

Procedure

  • To align the text in spreadsheet cells to left, center or right:
    1. Select the cell that you want to align.
    2. Click Format > Align and then select Left, Right, or Center.
      Tip: You can quickly align the text by clicking the Align Left align left, Align Center align center or Align Right align right icons on the toolbar.
  • To align the text in spreadsheet cells to top, middle or bottom:
    1. Select the cell that you want to align.
    2. Click Format > Align and then select Top, Middle, or Bottom.
      Tip: You can quickly align the text by clicking the Align Top align top, Align Middle align middle or Align Bottom align bottom icons on the toolbar.
