Running a Salesforce Lightning application test

You can run the recorded Salesforce Lightning application tests and add steps or verification points from Smartshots.

About this task

You can configure runtime parameters to support dynamic data injection, and you can run a recorded test with a configured environment in either of the following ways:
  • From the Test editor page
  • From the Execution page.

Procedure

Perform any one of the following methods to run the Salesforce automated test:
Action Description
Run from the Test Editor page
Perform the following steps:
  1. In the Test Editor toolbar, select the required environment from the environment list. For example, SFLenv.
  2. Click Run to run the test against the selected environment.
  3. Optional: Select the execution cluster from the drop-down next to Run.
Run from the Execution page
Perform the following steps:
  1. Click Execute, locate and open the required test asset.
  2. On the Environment tab, select the required environment. For example, SFLenv.dte.yaml
  3. Click Execute.

Results

You have run the recorded Salesforce Lightning application test with the selected environment.
