Management of DevOps Test Runtime agents
When you want to run the server test assets that require resources not available in the cluster, such as the Safari browser, you can use the DevOps Test Runtime agents. You can install the agent on a machine with the required resources, and then select the agent as the location for test runs from HCL DevOps Test Hub (Test Hub). You can also manage the registered agents in Test Hub.
When you install the agents by using your offline user token, the agents are registered with the team space in Test Hub, and they are associated with the project that you specified while registering the agents. You can view the registered agents before you add them to the other projects. You can then select the agents as locations to run the server test assets authored in Test Hub.
Prerequisites
- Installed and registered the DevOps Test Runtime agent. See. Registering DevOps Test Runtime agents.Note:When you configure the DevOps Test Runtime agent by using your offline user token, Test Hub considers you as the owner of the agent.Restriction:You can run only one agent on a system.
- Viewed the agents that are registered with Test Hub. See Viewing agents that are registered with DevOps Test Hub.
- Added the agents that are registered with Test Hub to your project on Test Hub. See Adding an agent to a project.
If the agent is in the Ready state, then you can stop the
agent by pressing Ctrl+C keys in the command line after navigating
to the directory where the runtime script is located.
If you do not want to retain the agents in a project or if you want to add the agents to a different project, you can remove the agents from a project. When you remove an agent from a project, you cannot select that agent to run tests in the project. See Removing an agent from a project.
If you want to remove a registered agent from a team space in Test Hub when the agent is not available for use or in the Lost Contact state, you can unregister an agent from a team space. See Unregistering a remote agent from DevOps Test Hub.
