Creating a project

You can create a project and enter its details.

Before you begin

To create and manage projects for your test assets, you must log in to HCL DevOps Test Hub (Test Hub) by providing the application URL in a browser.

If you are a new user, and LDAP and Active Directory are not configured, then you must first sign up by filling out a form with your email, username, and password. You can then log in by using those details.

You must be a member of any licensed team space.

About this task

As a licensed user, you are by default assigned as both Project Creator and Architect role for the initial team space. You must select a team space to create a project.

You can view all the team spaces in the Team Space Dashboard. To create a project in any team space, you must be a member of that team space and assigned a Team Space Owner or Project Creator role in that team space.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Test Hub.
    The Projects page of the initial team space is displayed.
  2. Click the New Project button on the Projects page.
    The New Project dialog is displayed.
  3. Assign a name to your project.
  4. Optional: Enter the description of the project.
  5. Click Create.

Results

You have created a project.

You can modify your project configuration. You can also add a repository to your project.
