Running tests from IBM® DevOps Deploy
You can run test assets from IBM® DevOps Deploy (Deploy) as a Process to test your application under test.
Before you begin

You must be familiar with working with Deploy.

You must have performed the following tasks:

Been granted access to Deploy.

Created a component in Deploy. See Creating a component in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Created a process for the component in Deploy. See Creating a process in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Configure the process for the component in Deploy. See Configuring the process in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Created a resource in Deploy. See Creating a resource in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Configured the resource in Deploy. See Configuring the resource in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Created an application in Deploy. See Creating an application in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Configured the application in Deploy. See Configuring the application in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Started the Deploy agent. For more information, refer Starting agents.

Procedure

Log in to Deploy, if
you are not already logged in.
The Deploy dashboard is displayed.

Click Applications.
A list of applications that are available in Deploy is displayed.
- Click the application that you configured for the test run.

Click the Request Process icon.
The Run Application Process page is displayed.
- Select the process that you created for the application which contains the test assets from the Process drop-down list.

Click Submit.
The Deploy dashboard shows the progress of the process request.

What to do next

Success: When the test run is successful

Failed: When the test run is failed
You can view the details of the test run in the Execution Log section. The Reports information section on the Log file displays the names of the report along with its corresponding URLs.
