Configuring the application HCL DevOps Deploy
You must configure the application to associate resources with environments and define processes to run test assets.
Before you begin

You must be familiar with working with Deploy.

You must have performed the following tasks:

Created a process for the component in Deploy. See Creating a process in HCL DevOps Deploy.

Created a component in Deploy. See Creating a component in HCL DevOps Deploy.

Created a process for the component in Deploy. See Creating a process in HCL DevOps Deploy.

Configure the process for the component in Deploy. See Configuring the process in HCL DevOps Deploy.

Created a resource in Deploy. See Creating a resource in HCL DevOps Deploy.

Configured the resource in Deploy. See Configuring the resource in HCL DevOps Deploy.

Created an application in Deploy. See Creating an application in HCL DevOps Deploy.

Procedure

Log in to Deploy,
if you are not already logged in.
The Deploy dashboard is displayed.

Click Applications.
A list of applications that are available in Deploy is displayed.

Click the application that you want to configure from the
Name column.
The Environments page for the selected application is displayed.

Perform the following steps to create an environment for the application
that you selected:
- Click Create Environment.
- Enter a name for the environment in the Name field.
- Click Save.

Perform the following steps to configure resources to the environment:

Perform the following steps to add the component to the application:
- Click Applications, and then select your application from the list.
- Click the Components tab, and then Add Components.
- Select the checkbox from the drop-down list to add components to the application.
- Click Save.

Perform the following steps to create a process for the application:
- Drag the component process listed under the Component Process Steps option from the left navigation pane and drop it into the design area.
- Select the component process from the drop-down list in the Operational (No Version Needed) Process field.
- Click Save.
- Click the Edit icon, and then change the name of the properties.
- Click OK, and then click Save.
