Configuring Microsoft Access
Microsoft™ Access can be used in a limited capacity with DevOps Plan for evaluation and testing purposes only. However, it is not supported for production use.
To use DevOps Plan with Microsoft Access:
- Create one shared directory with full permissions on the computer that will contain your Microsoft Access databases.
- Record the UNC path of the share directory. The path must be of this form:
\\machine_name \share_name\database_directory\
For example:
\\developmentserver\project34share\devopsplandbs\
The first time you run DevOps Plan, you are prompted to create a schema repository. Specify the path to the shared directory and provide a file name for the schema repository. The appropriate Microsoft Access databases in the shared directory are then created and initialized.
