About this task

When the message catalog is set by environment variable it supersedes the config.pl file. So that, in an environment of both English and Japanese users, the environment variable could be used on an individual basis to customize for the less frequently used language.

To set the variable for Windows systems:

set MessageCatalogInterface=CQCC::MsgCat_ Japanese

To set the variable for Linux and the UNIX system:

setenv MessageCatalogInterface CQCC::MsgCat_Japanese
