- Installing or upgrading Component Pack for Connections
  HCL Connections 7.0 now supports the latest Component Pack based in Harbor, an open-source container and Helm registry hosted by HCL for the Component Pack build. Deployments that are new or carrying Component Pack 7 will use this approach for a simplified installation/upgrade process, while releases prior to 7.0 will first need to upgrade to Component Pack 7 using a zip file and a local Docker registry.

    Assuming that you have completed the server setup previously described, to enable locked domains in HCL Connections, specify an additional attribute in the LotusConnections-config.xml to ensure that only ConnectionsOpensocial application is mapped to the locked domain host.

    Configure HCL Connections to use custom ID attributes to identify users and groups in the LDAP directory.

    Define a system user to impersonate HTTP read-only requests to the File AppData API for the Rich Content Widget component.

    If you deploy an NGINX proxy server to manage push notifications for HCL Connections™, you can configure it to use load balancing and thus provide a greater long poll interval.

A connection is held open between the web client and the web server so that when the server has new information it can push it to the client. That connection is then closed. Customizing browser cookie cleanup on user logout

You can manage and add to the list of browser cookies to be cleaned up on user logout.

About this task

The list of cookies to be cleaned up on user logout is managed in Lotusconnections-config.xml. If the existing session cookie is renamed from JSESSIONID, it also will need to be updated in the Lotusconnections-config.xml file.

Procedure

Check out the Lotusconnections-config.xml file as described in Changing common configuration property values.

Locate the <sessionCookies> section in Lotusconnections-config.xml.

Optional: You can add cookies that require cleanup at user logout, for example:

Be sure to save your updates to Lotusconnections-config.xml.
