      Slack integration with IBM Connections Files leverages the same authentication mechanism and API's as the IBM Connections Mobile app and thus has similar configuration dependencies. In the instructions that follow, there are references to profileName and cellName which should be substituted as necessary with appropriate values from the specific WAS server environment, depending on whether or not deployment manager/cluster cells are being used.

About this task

Slack workspace administrators can install the IBM Connections app in their Slack workspace to make the integration available through direct messaging or in all channels within that workspace.

Adding the app into a Slack channel

Procedure

Add the IBM Connections Files app into the Slack workspace from the Slack application catalog.
From a direct message or any channel in Slack, Enter /sharesetup to setup or update your IBM Connections environment information and associate it with a workspace.
The Connections OAuth dialog box allows you to setup or update your IBM Connections details.
Click Submit to save the IBM Connections environment information.
