Downloading a file You can download a local copy of a file to a specified location so that you can view or edit it offline. To edit the file, it must be one that you own, or one that is shared with you for which you have Editor access.

You can download a local copy of a file to a specified location so that you can view or edit it offline. To edit the file, it must be one that you own, or one that is shared with you for which you have Editor access.

Procedure

In the Menu bar, click Apps > Files.
Locate the file that you want to download.

For example, find the file by using tags, or display a view where the file is visible, such as My Files or Shared with Me.
To select the file, hover over the thumbnail and click the checkbox.
Click Download .

Note: If you want only to view the file, click the thumbnail and provided you have the proper access, open the file.
Click Save File > OK.
Specify the folder to save the file in and then click Save.
