Updating IBM® Connections 5.5Updates to IBM® Connections 5.5 are delivered as interim fixes or Cumulative Refreshes.
Updating IBM® Connections 5.5 with the latest Cumulative Refresh (CR)Updates for IBM® Connections 5.5 are delivered through Cumulative Refreshes (CRs). Each refresh contains the changes included in all previous refreshes or interim fixes for a release. Install the latest Cumulative Refresh and prerequisite software to take advantage of all available changes.
Post-update tasksAfter you update IBM® Connections with the latest Cumulative Refresh, update components such as FileNet® or Cognos® to take advantage of updates in these applications. Follow the steps that apply to your deployment in the following sequence.
Updating FileNet® components in a new deployment for a Cumulative RefreshIf you chose a new FileNet® deployment when you installed or migrated to IBM® Connections 5.5 or 5.5 CR2, you must upgrade FileNet components to work with the latest features. Follow the instructions to update FileNet® components after applying CR2. Skip these procedures if you have an existing FileNet® deployment, in which FileNet® was installed independently of IBM® Connections.

Updating FileNet components in a new deployment for a Cumulative Refresh

If you chose a new FileNet® deployment when you installed or migrated to IBM® Connections 5.5 or 5.5 CR2, you must upgrade FileNet components to work with the latest features. Follow the instructions to update FileNet components after applying CR2. Skip these procedures if you have an existing FileNet deployment, in which FileNet was installed independently of IBM Connections.
