Using your HCL Compass Web client
HCL Compass Web is a browser-based interface to HCL Compass that runs on Windows, the UNIX system, and Linux. You can track defects and change requests in HCL Compass Web through this interface. When a session times out, you can re-authenticate and continue where you left off because the state of the user interface is retained.
Using records to store change requests
Modifying multiple records
You can perform the same actions on multiple HCL Compass records in a query result set by using the multirecord update feature. For example, you can perform the Assign action to assign many defect records to the same person for the same iteration. You can use multirecord update to set the priority of multiple records to a single value.

Buttons that create a new record or that make changes to record attachments are not supported by multirecord update.

Actions from the following types of buttons are not recorded on the template record:

Buttons that create new records
Buttons that cause attachment changes to a record such as Add, Download, or Remove

If you click one of these types of buttons while recording actions on the template record, a dialog box is displayed that informs you that the operation is not supported.
