Customizing columns in result sets

You can customize the columns in result sets.

About this task

Note: Changes that you make to the columns in a result set are temporary and running the query again will produce a result set with the default columns. To permanently change the columns that appear in the result set, you must modify the query.

To customize columns in a result set:

Procedure

  1. On the result set toolbar in the result set list, click the Customize Columns icon, Customize Columns icon, to make changes to the columns.
    The customize columns window opens.
  2. Add, remove, or change the order of columns.
  3. Click OK to save your changes.

What to do next

  • From the result set list, click the column title to sort in either ascending or descending order.
  • From the result set list, type a line number or click Previous or Next to move through the list.
