Customizing security
HCL Compass Web provides security that affects only the behavior of the HCL Compass Web application.
Restricted mode
You can control access to HCL Compass Web by restricting the activities that users and user groups can perform.
Configuring restricted mode
You must have the Super User privilege to restrict access to the HCL Compass Web application.

Procedure

In the HCL Compass Web banner, click Site Administration > Configuration.
The Security Options page opens.
Complete the restricted mode configuration fields. For a description of each field, see Security Options page.

Results

Settings on the Security Options page take effect immediately; you do not have to restart the server. However, only subsequent HCL Compass Web application sessions reflect these changes. Existing web application sessions continue to use the settings that were in effect when the sessions started.
