Recovering a corrupted or deleted workspace index
The corrupted or deleted workspace index can result in incorrect functioning of workspace preview and push-to-live operation. You can recover a workspace index (auth.workspace) if it is corrupted or has been deleted accidentally, and all the change history events captured for all the workspaces and approved content are lost.
Procedure
Perform the following steps to restore the workspace ( auth.workspace)
index in Elasticsearch.
- Delete the corrupted auth.workspace index if it still exists.
- Perform a full reindex operation manually in the Authoring environment. Refer to Building the Elasticsearch index. This restores the change history events from the database only for the non-approved workspace content. The change events for approved content are not restored.
- Perform manual staging propagation to synchronize all published changes between Authoring and Live databases.
- Perform a full reindex operation in the Live environment to refresh the Live indices.
