Migrating IBM Websphere Commerce Version 7 Feature Pack 6 Management Center
If you have customized Management Center in the LOBTools project in your
IBM Websphere Commerce Version 7 development environment, you will need to follow the procedure below to
re-apply your customizations on HCL Commerce Version 9.
LOBTools is a web module, and your customization in IBM Websphere Commerce Version 7
might have modified existing files which are updated by HCL Commerce Version 9. Therefore,
migrating Management Center will need to be performed carefully without overwriting the
existing files.
Procedure
- Evaluate your
LOBToolscustomizations made for IBM Websphere Commerce Version 7, and understand what changes you have made to each file. - For all files and directories that you created as part of your Management Center customization for IBM Websphere Commerce Version 7, re-create them in the same location in your HCL Commerce Version 9 environment.
- For all files that you modified as part of your Management Center customization for IBM Websphere Commerce Version 7, re-apply the customization code changes in your HCL Commerce Version 9 environment. You should apply the customization changes carefully to avoid typos and mistakes, and ensure that you avoid the direct copying and replacement of files.
- Restart your HCL Commerce server.
- Test your migrated Management Center to ensure that your customizations are working as expected.
