Create a task group from a template if the task group you
want to create is similar to one of your saved task group templates.
When you create a task group from a template, all tasks belonging
to the task group template will be created as well.
Procedure
- Open the Workspace Administration
Tool.
- Select WorkspacesManage
workspaces.
- On the Workspaces page, select the
workspace that will contain the new task group.
- Click Use template.
- On the Select template page select
the task group template you want to use then click OK.
- The New task group page displays,
with information from the template filled into appropriate fields.
- Select Recurring if you want a new
identical task group to be created after this task group moves into
complete state. Otherwise, select Single-use.
- Optional: Select Quick publish if
you want the file and data changes in this task group to be published
to production as soon as all tasks are marked complete and all approvals
are satisfied. Quick publish is not supported in WebSphere Commerce
Developer.
- Optional: In the Due date field,
you can change the year, month, and day by which the task group should
be completed. This field is for your information aboutly. WebSphere
Commerce does not perform any actions based on this date.
- Optional: Add or remove task group approvers.
- To add an approver, select an approver in the Available
approvers list and click Add approvers.
- To remove an approver, select an approver from the Selected
approvers list and click Remove approvers.
- Optional: Change the task group name or description:
- Select the language for the name and description you
want to change
- Type the new name or description for the selected language.
If you do not specify a name for the task group, the system generated
task group code will be displayed for users using the selected language.
- Repeat steps a and b for other languages, if required.
- Click OK.
Results
Workspace Content Contributors will not be able to work on
their assigned tasks until the task group containing their tasks is
activated. See Activating a task group for
instructions.
