When you are searching for a quote, you can use either
the quick-find or advanced-find search method.
About this task
Quick find Use this method to
search for a quote using common parameters such as the customer's
last name, the customer's first name, and so on.
To search for
a quote using the quick-find method:
Procedure
- Log
on to the IBM Sales Center.
- Optional: Select
a store.
- Optional: Find
a customer.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- Right-click the store or customer in the Stores view, and then
click Find > Quote .
- Click Quote > Find.
- Enter the accelerator sequence Ctrl+F, Ctrl+Q.
- Select a search option from the Search by list.
- Enter information in all fields, and then click Find.
Tip: Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard
in a field to broaden your search. Search information can be entered
in the following formats:
-
*
-
XXX
*
-
*
XXX
*
Where XXX is a partial string you want
to search on. If search information is entered in any other format,
the Find button will be disabled.
Note that searches that begin with a wildcard are significantly
slower than searches that contain a wildcard in another position.
For example, in the preceding example search 1 is slower than search
2 or 3.
- Scroll through the Search result table
to find the quote for which you are searching.
Tip: Click
a column heading in the Search result table
to sort the current page of results (there may be more than one page)
based on that heading.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- Double-click the quote.
- Select the quote, and then click OK.
