Oracle WebLogic

Oracle WebLogic Server is a unified and extensible platform for developing, deploying, and running enterprise applications. Oracle WebLogic Server is a software application that runs on a middleware tier, between back-end databases and related applications and browser-based thin clients.

About this task

Note: Follow the similar methods for IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere, and RedHat JBoss which also require manual caching.

By completing this procedure, you prepare for downloading Oracle Weblogic Server patches.

Procedure

Navigate to the support.oracle.com page.
Log in to your account.
Click the Patches & Updates tab.
Search for the applicable version of Oracle WebLogic Server.
Download the newest cumulative update that matches the Fixlet deploy. For example, download the WLS STACK PATCH BUNDLE patch.
Click Download.
Save the files to your computer.
After you download the files, copy them to the BigFix Root Server folder. There are two ways to download the files to the BigFix Root Server folder.
1. You can use the BigFix REST API to upload the file.
2. Rename the file to its SHA1 value and place it in the www folder.
Deploy the required Fixlets to update Oracle WebLogic Server by using the manually cached files as mentioned in the following link.
