    You need to define the MDM server and obtain a valid DEP token from Apple Business Manager to establish communication and manage device enrollment.

    Each device that is intended to use Automated Device Enrollment must be specifically assigned to a server defined in Apple Business Manager before it can be further managed. This helps Apple Business Manager to quickly determine, when a device calls in, which server it will be directed to enroll.

Download token from ABM

To download the DEP token that can authorize the defined MDM Server to communicate with the Apple Business Manager, complete the following steps:

, Click Download Token.

The following message is displayed. As this is the first token you have obtained, proceed to click Download Server Token. A .p7m file is downloaded to your laptop.

The MDM server is defined and a token is downloaded.

Next step: Upload MDM server token in WebUI to the MDM Server to communicate with Apple Business Manager through the defined APIs.
