Considering data for migration
AppScan Source database contents to consider for migration
The following information is stored in the AppScan Source database:
Database element | Description |
Filters |
System-defined and shared filters:
|
Scan configurations |
System-defined and shared scan configurations:
|
Published scan assessments |
Scan assessments that are published to database. Scan assessments should be considered for migration. Note: Scan assessments (results) that are published to AppScan Enterprise server cannot be exported and imported back to AppScan Source. |
Registered applications and projects | AppScan Source does not support registering applications and projects when AppScan Source is configured to use AppScan Enterprise as data-store. Information related to registered applications and projects is not migrated. |
VDB rules |
System-defined and custom (user-created) VDB rules:
Custom VDB rules are created by users and shared with rest of the AppScan Source users. VDB rules should be considered for migration. Unfortunately, VDB rules cannot be exported and imported simply. Contact your HCL Support representative for assistance in migrating VDB rules; this document does not cover migrating custom VDB rules. |
PBSA rules |
System-defined and custom (user-created) PBSA rules:
Users with special permissions can modify the system-defined PBSA rules, thus creating custom rules, as well as define unique PBSA rules. Custom and user-created PBSA rules should be considered for migration. Unfortunately, PBSA rules cannot be exported and imported simply. Contact your HCL Support representative for assistance in migrating PBSA rules; this document does not cover migrating custom PBSA rules. |
User information | User management is handled by AppScan Enterprise. The AppScan Source database contains user authorization information, but there is no easy way of migrating this information to AppScan Enterprise. Manually update user authorization information in AppScan Enterprise. |
Audit logs | To view audit logs, click Admin > Audit. AppScan Source does not support the export of audit logs. |
