HCL AppScan Enterprise License setup
AppScan Enterprise now uses My HCLSoftware (MHS) for all license management starting from version 10.8.0, replacing the previous FlexNet Operations (FNO) system. The MHS process requires a unique machine fingerprint, which you can get either from the Configuration Wizard during installation or by using the standalone utility detailed in Generating a machine fingerprint for AppScan Enterprise.

HCL AppScan Enterprise License setup

AppScan Enterprise now uses My HCLSoftware (MHS) for all license management starting from version 10.8.0, replacing the previous FlexNet Operations (FNO) system. Licensing transition and FNO decommissioning

AppScan Enterprise is transitioning from FNO to MHS for license management. Starting with AppScan Enterprise 10.8.0, MHS will be the only licensing platform, with FNO being fully decommissioned by June 30, 2025.

Overview of licensing transition

Starting with the AppScan Enterprise 10.8.0 release, FNO is replaced with MHS for license management and download distribution.
End of Support (EOS) for AppScan Enterprise versions 10.6.0 and earlier is set for June 2025.

Key changes in licensing

License files must be generated via the MHS portal. Learn how to generate and apply license.

AppScan Enterprise will use license files, eliminating reliance on the Local License Server (LLS) and Cloud License Server (CLS).

Migration plan

A transition period (February 2025 – June 2025) allows you to switch from FNO to MHS.

AppScan enterprise download and license key generation

MHS now serves as the unified platform for both license key generation and software downloads. Learn more about the MHS portal.

Perpetual licenses

If you have a perpetual license, upgrade to the latest AppScan Enterprise version with MHS licensing.
Maintenance expiration dates are not currently visible in MHS but are expected to be introduced in future updates.
