Reviewing Data Collection Events and Logs

Through the Manage Portal page, you can review the application events and associated logs for the Data Collector.

About this task

  • The Portal Management tools are useful for diagnosing a variety of problems. This section provides diagnostics for the Data Collector, but similar steps can be applied to any Discover service.

Procedure

  1. In the Portal menu, select Discover > Manage Portal.
  2. Under Discover Servers, click Manage Servers.
  3. Select the server where the Data Collector is installed. By default, this server is the Report server.
  4. When the server is selected, the server-specific toolbar is displayed at the top of the pane.
