Additional tips for diagnosing issues
If the main checklist did not help to diagnose the issue, you can review the following items to verify performance of the Unica DiscoverNetwork Capture Application server.
In some situations, issues that appear in the Unica Discover Network Capture Application are sourced at the operating system or network level. The following tips are useful validation steps prior to contacting Discover Customer Support.
- Check disk space on the volume where DNCA is hosted
- Check operating system processes
- Verify recent history of DNCA Web Console modifications, which
are logged in the following file:
/var/log/Discover/confxxx.log
- Verify status of NICs using external tools such as
ifconfig
andethtool
- Verify physical connections between server, NICs, and network
