SA permissions required

Upgrading the database requires System Administrator permissions, as the process creates new filegroups.

You cannot upgrade by using the DCADMIN account. Verify that the account you are using has the appropriate permissions.

Note:
  • When upgrading Discover, do not use the option Discover Authentication.
  • When upgrading Discover, if the SQL Server Enforce Policy is ON, you will see an error which states that user information update failed as SQL Password Policy is enforced. To resolve this issue, contact your Database administrator. Some features of Discover, like Discover Portal, Reports, and Database Manager will not work till the issue is resolved.
