Hardware requirements

For optimal performance, install Unica Discover on dedicated hardware.

Processor requirements

64-bit processors are required for all Windows-based servers hosting the Unica Discover Windows components.

For the Unica Discover Network Capture Application (which runs on Linux only) both 32-bit processors and 64-bit processors are supported.

Hardware requirements for the Network Capture Application server machine

The server used for Network Capture Application must meet the following minimum hardware requirements:

Dual processor, quad core:
Intel quad-core Xeon processor at 2.8 GHz or better for total of 8 cores minimum.
3 network interface cards (NIC), each card with 1-Gigabit.
Hard drive space according to sizing
Hard drive speed: SAS or SCSI hard drive with 15ms access time and 7200rpm drive speed.
