The Discover Data
Collector and the Data Service are responsible for retrieving data
and inserting it into the appropriate Discover database.
About this task
Please complete the following tests to verify that these
services are operational.
Procedure

In the Portal menu, select .

In Manage Services WorldView, select Servers from the View drop-down.
- Select the server hosting the Data Collector.
- The icon next to the Data Collector should be green.
- If it is not, to start the Data Collector, select it and click Start.
When it restarts, the icon becomes green again, and the Data Collector
resumes polling the LTC at the appropriate interval.

If you have licensed Unica Discover and have deployed the Visitor database,
the Scheduling Service icon should be green.
- If it is not, to start the Scheduling Service, select it and click
Start. When it restarts, the icon becomes green again, and the
Scheduling Service resumes polling the LTC at the appropriate interval. See Troubleshooting Visitors Database Issues.
- If the appropriate services are working, then please continue
with the next section.
