Pattern Overlap and False Positives in PII Detection

The PII Detector uses Regex (Regular Expression) patterns to identify sensitive data. When character structures overlap between different regions or entity types, false positives may occur.

For instance, Indian PAN values can be identified as Italian Driver's Licenses, and 6-digit Indian PIN codes may be flagged as dates.
