v2.1.7+nop/unnop
Sets one or more tasks in the model to an operational or non-operational state. It temporarily disables one or more tasks without changing their dependencies.
Overview
If a task contains standard dependencies, the dependencies are released and successor tasks are launched. If the dependency is conditional, the condition must evaluate as true before the successors can run. After the command runs, the specified task changes to CANCEL PEND status.
If you apply the command at the workflow level by specifying the workflow name in the Orchestration CLI, the operational or non-operational setting applies to all tasks contained within that workflow. Alternatively, you can specify the name of an individual task to apply the setting only to that specific task within the workflow.
If you apply the command to tasks or job streams with a configured run cycle, only future instances of those tasks or job streams are affected. All tasks or job streams that have already started run according to the schedule. For making a task in plan nop/unnop, see
For example, if you need to temporarily skip a notification task during a service outage, set that task to nop until service is restored.
You must have NOOPDB or MODIFY access to the target task. NOOPDB access allows you to set items as operational or non-operational, whereas MODIFY access allows you to modify all task properties. For more information about authorization for Orchestration CLI commands, see Access required to run Orchestration CLI commands.
