        Password
        Assign Groups
        To assign the user to one or more groups, select a user and click Assign Groups.
        Manage NT Users
        When NT authentication is enabled in the Portal, Discover administrators can use this feature to create and disable Portal accounts based on Windows™ domain logins detected by the Portal.
        View Activity
        For the selected user, you can review the available activity reports in the User Activity page in the Portal.
        Delete
        You can use the Delete function in Portal Management to permanently delete a selected user's profile from the system.
        Search and Filters
        In release 12.2.3, we have introduced Search and Filters in User Administration.
      - Groups
        You can create new user groups or edit permissions for existing groups.
      - Current Users
        Displays a list of the currently active users of the specified role.
    - General Settings
      General Settings govern alert generation, data collection and retention, email delivery, search configuration, and user account management.
    - Portal Announcements
      Portal announcements are messages displayed to all Portal users upon login. These messages can be used to display current system status, scheduled maintenance windows, or other Discover-related issues.
    - Portal Logs
      In the Portal Management page, the Logs section displays the different types of logs created by both the Portal and the Data Service. Each section has its own layout and UI.
    - Backing Up Discover
      Discover provides multiple mechanisms for backing up your Discover system and your captured data.

  - Integrating HCL Discover and Unica Journey
    HCL Discover and Unica Journey integration works with CEP configuration. The CEP configuration enables the event to be sent to CEP and the external systems. HCL Discover-Unica Journey integration is supported from version 12.1.0.3 onwards.
  - Integrating HCL Discover and Unica Interact
    HCL Discover and Unica Interact integration works with CEP configuration. The CEP configuration enables the event to be sent to CEP and the external systems. HCL Discover-Unica Interact integration is supported from version 12.1.0.3 onwards.
  - Integrating HCL Discover and Unica Deliver
    From version 12.1.13, you can integrate Unica Deliver with HCL Discover. By integrating Unica Deliver, you can send emails when a Discover event is initiated. You can create templates in Unica Deliver and use the templates for specific events. You can also configure the template and sender ID for each Event.

    From 12.2.0, you can integrate HCL Discover with HCL CDP. You can use this integration to send events fired in HCL Discover to HCL CDP with configurable attributes.

  - Securing Interprocess Communication
    Discover 12.1.8 and above supports the use of a new SSL certificate based mechanism for securing all inter-process communication between the Discover servers. This is important in a distributed environment with multiple servers, as the components of Discover communicate with each other over the network, using a variety of ports.
  - Support for Okta
    From version 12.1.12, HCL Discover supports Okta authentication for customers who wish to use Okta instead of Microsoft Windows NT Authentication.

Search and Filters

In release 12.2.3, we have introduced Search and Filters in User Administration.

The Search bar performs a dynamic search on the list of user names based on the entered text.

Use Filters to filter the result based on the following options:

All - Displays all users
Portal - Displays only portal users
Okta - Displays only Okta users

In filters, if you select Okta, the Password button will be disabled. Also, if you click the Edit button, the Password Expires field will be disabled for Okta users.
