Configuring Welcome Page Favorites

Customize your initial HCL Discover home screen by pinning up to 12 shortcuts to dashboards and system features.

Before you begin

You must log in to the HCL Discover portal with an active user account. Available configuration choices are limited by your account's access control rights; features or dashboards to which you do not have permission will not appear in the selection menu.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Favorites workspace at the top of the Welcome Page.
  2. Click the New Favorite tile or select the Customize Favorites link.
    The Add / Edit Widget modal window opens, displaying lists of available Dashboards and Features.
  3. Select the checkboxes next to the items you want to pin to your home screen.
    Restriction: You can choose a maximum combined total of 12 items across both the Dashboards and Features categories.
  4. Click the Update button at the bottom of the dialog box.
    The portal processes your request, closes the modal window, and displays the chosen shortcuts as interactive workspace tiles under your Favorites list.
  5. Test the shortcuts by clicking on any newly created favorite tile (e.g., Technical Site Metrics).
    The application bypasses standard navigation trees and instantly redirects you to the targeted workspace view.
